Breaking Barriers: The Inspiring Journey of B-Fit's Newest Trainer

Every now and then, we hear a personal story that moves us. When someone overcomes significant challenges and transforms themselves, it inspires us and gives us hope.

The journey of B-Fit’s newest trainer, Beatriz Diaz (a.k.a. Cricket), is one such story.

Beatriz was an absolute beginner when she started–someone who had never exercised in her life. Even though she could barely do a bodyweight lunge, she was determined to get better.

Beatriz had two qualities that impressed us from the very beginning: her consistency and willingness to push herself. Rain or shine, Beatriz shows up to the gym. You don’t see that kind of discipline every day, especially from someone so young (20 at the time). While others get impatient with their progress, Beatriz understood that fitness is a long game. Her patience and ability to trust the process would prove to be keys to her success.

Since she started training almost 2 years ago, Beatriz has dropped 50 lbs, 10 inches from her waist, and went from 34% body fat to the teens!

Oh, and did we mention she has a heart condition? She did all this while having a congenital condition that has required her to wear a pacemaker since she was 8 years old.

There’s a lot more we can say about Beatriz’s journey, but we’d rather you read it in her own words. The rest of this article was written by Beatriz herself.

Discipline, consistency, and mental fortitude.
